Russian expansion in the Sahel region

Russia is gaining traction in the Sahel region. Wagner group and alike are being replaced by Russian regular army troops. Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Tchad, RCA or Mozambique are aligning with Moscow. Europe is not paying attention to its Southern flank and the Ukraine war is not helping. It seems that Europe can only deal with one crisis at a time.
